Good night London

Good night London

Persephone Books : Lambs Conduit, Bloomsbury (we were early but it opened on saturdays only at 12, so we were forced to try the porridge at Tutti’s, not a bad choice at all)

Liberty : Regents Street

Charles Lamb Pub : Elia Street, Islington (actually we wanted to go to the Duke of Cambrigde, an organic Pub but could remember the name, so we went here, a very cosy neighborhood pub with delicious food)

Fifteen :  Westland Place, Clerkenwell

Mathilda unwrapping her birthday present.

Seems that I begin every sentence with “I can’t believe….” –  This first year was beyond my humble experience as a human being, as a woman, as a mother. My whole world turned round with the arrival of Mathilda one year ago. I sought I already experienced love in it’s different dimensions. I though the love to my mister was strong like a rock. I thought the love ( and fear) for my cat was solid and earnest. Mathilda taught me there is no stronger love and bond between mother and child. Pure, vulnerable and unbreakable. Today I’m also celebrating one year as a mother. I’m just wondering  where my presents are.

The Party decorations are ready, the cake is made, the champagne is cooled, the tissues are near.

Tomorrow my little darling celebrates her first birthday. And I my first year as a mother. Although I don’t  believe you just switch to mom when you give birth, biological it may be. For me it’s a process of becoming a mother. You learn every day, you make mistakes,  you struggle, you win, you love and you grow.
